Hogar de Christo Orphanage

The Hogar de Christo Orphanage in Alta, Peru, cares for 15 disadvantaged children. The girls in this program are either orphans or children of families who are too poverty stricken to care for them .Many of them struggle with the emotional distress of having been abused prior to their entrance into the orphanage. In addition to sheltering the children, the orphanage also provides 100 children from a nearby village with lunch everyday. The nuns must cook a hundred meals over a wood burning fire in an inadequate kitchen. In order to feed, cloth, teach, and house these children the orphanage desperately needs a sustainable source of income. Your donation will help supply the basics of food, shelter, medical care and education for these deserving youth.

By pledging your commitment for $1 USD a day through a monthly installment of USD $30 dollars, or a one time annual donation of USD $360, you will cover the cost of one child's room and board, meals, education, healthcare, and clothing. In return for your support you will receive quarterly updates so you may follow the children's progress. At the end of the year you will receive a receipt of your donation. The GVN Foundation has nonprofit status in the United States; therefore donations by Americans in the United States are tax-deductible. International donors may use our e-thank you for tax deduction purposes depending upon your country's tax-deduction criteria.
