What are we working on now?

Nalusse Primary School Lunch Program

The Nalusse Primary School is a small Ugandan school located in Mukono, Uganda. It dedicates itself to providing quality education in both Lugandan and English for the children in the surrounding area of Mukono. The school was in danger of closing in 2005 until a local NGO called the Real Uganda, a local partner of the Global Volunteer Network, began assisting the school by sending volunteer teachers to the school as well as financial aid.

The Nalusse Primary School Lunch Program has been put together by several past GVN teachers at Nalusse. The goal of the program is to be able to provide a quality lunch for the all-day students of the Nalusse Primary School, some of whom do not eat a full meal over the course of a day. This will enable the children to have more energy to stay focused on classwork and achieve higher levels of learning.

On behalf of our local partner in Uganda we would like to thank you for your interest and support of this project.

Please note your donation will go into an 'International Fundraiser Program Fund' to be used to assist our partner. In all instances we strive to send funds to the stated program above but in the event of a greater need or change in program needs GVNF will determine the destination of funds. By proceeding you agree with the Foundation's refund policy as stated in our legal terms of service

(In US Dollars, decimals ok, do not add currency symbol.)
