Khangwelo Donation
GVN Foundation is proud to partner with ZOTE Projects, South Africa as they work to support children and families in local South African communities. As part of their mission to assist individuals, communities, and businesses, ZOTE has offered their commitment in supporting several projects which have the potential to foster long term sustainability and positive change.
In a small village of Manamani, South Africa, there is young boy named Khangwelo. He is one of 7 kids in his family. He has 2 brothers and 3 sisters and a mother and the family is one of the poorest in the village.
A bright young man, Khangwelo is in grade 7 and is always at the top of his class at Manamani Primary school, with many people have noted Khangwelo's intelligence and potential. He is always eager to learn and aspires to be a Journalist.
The unfortunate reality is that Khangwelo's family is very poor. The family live in a 1-room house (8 people); they cook, sleep and study in that one mudroom. The rainy season is quickly approaching and their mud room is in great danger of falling down. This could prove to be life threatening for Khangwelo and his relatives.
ZOTE Projects is dedicated to helping Khangwelo and his family by building a new 4 room house- which will bring great relief to his parents and siblings and offer this exceptional young man a safe, healthy environment in which to foster his passion for learning. To help build the home, ZOTE is soliciting the help of past volunteers and friends. ZOTE will be collaborating with the Community Chief and Civic Association on this project. The logistics and building is driven by the community and supported by ZOTE Projects.
Thank you for your generous support!
