International Fundraisers

GVN volunteers everywhere are raising money for their charitable works world-wide. Here is a list of the fundraisers currently underway:

Kenya Projects

Caroline's Children's Home

"By donating, you are not only building the walls and lighting the classrooms for future the students, but also supplying them with healthy meals, clothes, pencils and blankets. Please help us create a warm home for the children, present and future, of the Caroline Wambui Mungai Home."

CWWC Gataka School

"Amidst the slums located outside of Nairobi exists the Christian Women Works of Charity Center- a multipurpose facility providing the community with a school for local AIDS orphans and vulnerable children, and a feeding program for the other school children residing in Kware slum."
> CWWC Gataka School

Olsho-Oibar School

"With the help from friends and well-wishers the school hopes to renovate the classrooms to make them permanent by putting in cement floors, stone walls, steel doors and windows which are not easily attacked by termites."
> Olsho-Oibar School

Ongata Rongai Christian Women Works of Charity

"ORCWWC is desperately attempting to build a well. This well would provide the kids at the center with clean water and the funds would be a source of consistent income to always keep the center open."

Saikeri Clinic

"Purchasing and installing larger solar panels could provide the needed energy to run a small refrigerator to store immunizations. This will allow a larger population of children to be immunized if they could be given their shots anytime they were at the clinic not just immunization day."
> Saikeri Clinic

Tanzania Projects

Tatu Shabani Appeal

"A charity called the Children's First Foundation, based in Melbourne, reviewed Tatu's situation and announced they could fly her to Australia in January 2007 to operate on her feet. Tatu will stay at a children's home in Collingwood and will have surgery in a private hospital."
> Tatu Shabani Appeal

Uganda Projects

CETU Teacher Donations

"Springs of Hope High School, located in the village of Buloba outside of Kampala, offers disadvantaged youth and orphans access to secondary education- an opportunity only available to less then 16 percent of Ugandan children and young adults."
> CETU Teacher Donations

Nalusse Primary School Lunch Program

"The Nalusse Primary School Lunch Program has been put together by several past GVN teachers at Nalusse. The goal of the program is to be able to provide a quality lunch for the all-day students of the Nalusse Primary School, some of whom do not eat a full meal over the course of a day. This will enable the children to have more energy to stay focused on classwork and achieve higher levels of learning."

Vietnam Projects

Vietnam Baby Orphanage Donation

"The children desperately need vaccinations to protect them, these are extremely expensive and even the most basic medical treatment such as that for heat boils is considerably beyond the funds available to the orphanage."
