What is Eat So They Can?

There are 925 million undernourished people in the world today. That means one in seven people do not get enough food to be healthy and lead an active life.

Eat So They Can is an initiative of Global Volunteer Network and GVN Foundation. The concept is simple - host a dinner party, raise awareness about world hunger, collect donations, and become a part of the solution to end world hunger. We believe all our small actions can combine in a powerful way - ending world hunger one dinner party at a time!

Where does my money go?

The funds you raise from your Eat So They Can event will go towards supporting GVN Foundation's nutrition projects across Africa, Asia and Latin America. We work to meet our projects' immediate nutritional needs, and we also work with our projects to develop sustainable solutions to preventing malnutrition. What's in it for me?

At the GVN Foundation we believe that giving back should be fun, rewarding and inspiring - and we will do everything we can to make sure your experience as an Eat So They Can host is exactly that. We'll provide you with all the resources you need to ensure your event is a success including a DVD with lots of footage from our projects. If you raise $500 or more, you'll be entered into our Grand Prize Draw to win an expense-paid trip to Peru or Kenya to help distribute the funds raised from the campaign.
